Creating a website for Graphy, the ultimate platform for creators
Graphy is a platform that empowers creators to monetize their expertise by creating and selling online courses, PDFs, links, webinars, communities, and more. As a senior designer at Graphy, I was faced with the challenge of setting the creative direction for the website, which would serve as the main marketing tool and the first impression for potential customers.
Approach
My goal was to create a website that reflects Graphy’s brand identity, values, and vision, as well as showcases the features and benefits of the platform for both creators and learners. To achieve this, I created a custom illustration style that is consistent, colourful, and expressive. I used illustrations to highlight the main selling points of Graphy, such as the variety of products, the powerful features, the ease of use, and the success stories of the creators. I also designed icons and other visual elements that complement the illustrations and enhance the readability and aesthetics of the website.
Features Illustrations
My aim with the new illustration style was to convey the benefits and functionalities of Graphy in a visually appealing and playful way. The features section comprises of modern and colorful vector style that uses simple shapes and gradients to create dynamic and engaging scenes.

Icon Design Approach for Graphy
The iconography for the Graphy website was a meticulous process that involved deriving inspiration from the site’s illustrations. This approach ensured a seamless visual experience across the platform. Here’s a breakdown of the process:
- Inspiration from Illustrations: The style of the icons was heavily influenced by the existing illustrations on the website. This ensured a consistent and harmonious visual language throughout the platform.
- Simplicity and Clarity: Each icon was designed to be simple yet clear in its representation. The aim was to ensure that users could easily understand the function of each icon at a glance.
- Consistency: Consistency was key in the design process. Each icon, while unique in its representation, maintained a consistent style, size, and weight. This created a cohesive look and feel across the website.
- Versatility: The icons were designed to be versatile, ensuring they looked good in various sizes and on different devices. This was crucial for maintaining a great user experience across all platforms.
- Feedback and Iteration: The design process was iterative, involving multiple rounds of feedback and refinement. This ensured that each icon not only looked good but also served its intended function effectively.
This thoughtful and detailed approach resulted in a set of icons that not only enhanced the visual appeal of the Graphy website but also improved its usability and user experience.

Visual Representation of In-Product Features for Graphy
As part of my work for Graphy, I was tasked with creating a visual representation of the in-product features and offerings. This involved designing banner images for the product pages and feature page, which were crucial in conveying the product’s capabilities to the users.
Approach & Style:
- Derived Style: The style for these images was derived from the existing illustration, colour palette, and current design trends. This ensured that the visuals were not only appealing but also consistent with the brand’s identity.
- Banner Images: The banner images were designed to be visually striking and informative. They effectively communicate the key features of the product, making it easier for users to understand what Graphy has to offer.
- Feature Page Images: The feature page images were created to highlight the unique features of Graphy’s website builder for creators. These images were designed to be intuitive, allowing users to grasp the functionality of the product at a glance.
This project allowed me to showcase my ability to create visually appealing and informative images that effectively communicate a product’s features and offerings to the users. It also highlighted my ability to maintain brand consistency while incorporating current design trends.

Conclusion
The Graphy project was a remarkable journey that allowed me to delve deep into the realms of illustration style, iconography, visual language, and colour palette. I had the opportunity to create a fun and appealing concept that resonated with the brand’s ethos and its audience.
Approach & Style:
- The illustration style was meticulously crafted to be engaging and visually appealing, ensuring it effectively communicated the brand’s message.
- The iconography was designed to be intuitive and representative of the brand’s unique features, enhancing the user experience.
- The visual language was consistent and aligned with the brand’s identity, ensuring a seamless and cohesive look across all elements.
- The colour palette was carefully chosen to reflect the brand’s vibrancy and energy, creating a visually stimulating user experience.
This project not only honed my design skills but also enriched my understanding of how visual elements can be effectively used to convey a brand’s message and engage its audience. It was a testament to the power of design in transforming a brand’s digital presence. The success of this project reaffirms my belief in the importance of a well-thought-out and executed design strategy in today’s digital age. I look forward to bringing these learnings to future projects, continuing to create designs that are not only visually appealing but also enhance the user experience.
